Year 5 Solving the Mystery at Southwark Hall

This week we have written a description of a crime scene at Southwark Hall, we identified the important features then used them in our own writing.  we have written character descriptions for the suspects, including information to set up the guilty person. This resulting in writing a transcript recording the spoken and unspoken voice with parenthesis. We ended the week with a literacy Cluedo game this was enjoyed by all.

Year 5 have explored shape this week, understanding polygons, drawing polygons using dotted paper, square and isometric paper. Using the terms perpendicular and parallel sides. We have also identified regular and irregular polygons, recognizing the angles on a straight line and around a point.

Religious Education

Exploring the concept of forgiveness. We have used drama to show feelings about being involved in forgives, we have shown understanding of the words condone, excuse and forget.

Hope you have a lovely weekend
