Grosvenor Park Academy is part of the North West Academies Trust. The school operates a Local Governing Board which is made up of the following people:

Sue Wallace-Woodroffe | 1st February 2020 | 1st February 2024 | Sue Wallace-Woodroffe is the Headmistress of The Queen’s School, Chester. Previously she was the Head of Princess Helena College until moving to Chester in 2018. Sue studied Biological Sciences at Edinburgh University before studying for a PhD in Genetics at Cambridge. She has recently completed an MA in Educational Leadership and Management with the University of London. She remains a keen sportswoman having represented GB on the athletics track at Junior International level. |
Robin Gill | 1st February 2020 | 1st February 2024 | Robin is a solicitor and a Partner at Hillyer McKeown in Chester, specialising in corporate law. He was a founding Parent Governor of the Academy when it opened in 2013 and during its subsequent Ofsted inspection. He was co-opted to the Governing Body following the Academy joining NWAT in 2018. Robin is also a Trustee of The Chester Bluecoat Charity, which supports numerous local charities and charitable projects. He was previously a parent Director serving on the Board of a Cheshire academies trust. |
North West Academies Trust (NWAT) Governance
The school has been part of North West Academies Trust since December 2018.
Representatives of the Trust visit to see the children at work, and how they benefit from the positive changes implemented since we became Grosvenor Park C of E Academy.
NWAT has the power to monitor the role of the Academy at an operational day-to-day level and review:
- The management and organisation of the Academy.
- The implementation of the decisions of the Executive Headteacher.
- Performance in relation to targets and standards.
- The implementation of policies monitoring student welfare and behaviour.
- The implementation of policies.
- The implementation of all extended school activities.

The trust is a charitable body offering advice, support, expertise and a strategic overview to several academies in Cheshire and Shropshire.
It is passionate about supporting schools within their community and helping to ensure outstanding learning opportunities for every child.
