Year 5 News
Hello Everyone and hope you are all safe and well.
In this second week of home learning, it has been wonderful to continue to receive lots of photos to the class email address showing the hard work which you have been doing at home. It takes a while to get used to a new routine and if this was the start of September at school (another ‘new’ time we can relate to), we would still be in the process of settling into a new timetable. So a huge well done to all of you who have clearly already got a decent learning routine in place. As I have previously mentioned, your daily routine does not have to include hours and hours of paper-based learning, as it should also be broken up by breaks, exercise and some screen-based learning using the new class website.
Over the next few days, I will be updating our website and adding various new links to additional learning resources, games and other activities to keep everyone going over the Easter break. There should therefore be enough work available in comparison to what I would usually send as homework over this two-week period.
However, if anybody requires any additional work or indeed has any questions about the work set, please do not hesitate to get in touch. Several parents have already been in touch, for example recently, to ask about revision and study books that I might be able to recommend from online bookshops, in order to further vary the daily routine. If you too would like me to recommend similar resources, let me know.
Wishing you all a safe Easter,
