Year 3, what a busy week!
We started off our week by looking at a new book in English. The Journey, is a story about a family of refugees and their journey to a safe country. We will use the story to inspire our own journey themed stories next week.
In maths this week, we have started to look at shapes. We had fun making shapes using a large elastic band, then describing their properties. We have also learnt the names of different angles, we spent some time arranging images of angles from acute to reflex.
On Wednesday afternoon, we took a break from the classroom by taking part in a Brake Walk. Our local PCSO’s accompanied us on a long walk over footpaths, busy roads and quiet roads, paying attention to road safety every step of the way.
On Friday, after some amazing vocal warm up’s by Mrs Gill, we practiced for our end of term Summer Night’s performance with Mr Benson. We sound amazing.

Year 3 will have the opportunity to put their Bushcraft skills to the test on Tuesday with an extra Forest School session, please send children in with appropriate clothing.
