Where in the world?

Year 4 have really impressed Mr. Sparks this week with their ability to add and subtract 4-digit numbers. We have been using the resources in class to help us and have no moved on to more formal methods.

As part of national anti-bullying week, Year 4 have been learning all about equality and what that means to us in our school. We have discussed how we show everyone respect, no matter where they come from, what they believe who what they look like. We have learned where each member of our class and their families are from to celebrate and embrace the great diversity we have in our small community. Year 4 have also taken a pledge to stand against bullying in any form and have been creating anti-bullying posters to go around the school.

We have also written a newspaper report about a mysterious creature that was found on a nearby beach. We have been looking at the features of a newspaper and trying to include them into our own writing, whilst also including some of the great new language we have been using.
