Supertato Storytellers

Reception class were wonderful storytellers this week, using Talk for Writing. They used a picture walk to retell the whole story of Supertato, recognising the main characters, key events and identifying the beginning, middle and end. They performed their story using actions to help them remember and used great expression.

In maths the children have focused on place value, using their knowledge of number to sequence numbers up to 20 and beyond and begin to place them on a blank numberline.

Forest schools was a huge success with the children exploring the great outdoors, creating their own picture frames using sticks they could find and learning to tie them with string to create a rectangle.

The children have also explored the concept of floating and sinking with Aqua Man’s help, identifying which objects float and sink and explaining why.

A brilliant week of learning, well done Reception.

Have a wonderful half term.
