Wow! What an amazing week in Year 2! I am absolutely delighted with the effort our wonderful children have put into their SATs this week. They have worked incredibly hard, showing perseverance and determination to succeed. I am an extremely proud of each and every one of them.

Bobby “The SATs were easy because we prepared for them well”.
Joel “The Maths SATs test was easy. I enjoyed the tests because there were lots of tricky questions which I could answer”.
Anita “The first reading paper was easier than the mock test. Reading paper 2 was challenging but I think answered all the questions correctly.”

The children had a lovely afternoon in Grosvenor Park today. It was brilliant seeing the children relaxing and having fun together. They all deserved this afternoon treat! Thank you to Miss Blundell for offering to come with us! Please see Twitter for photographs.

On Thursday, we went to the archaeological dig at Grosvenor Park. The children were fascinated at what the students of Chester University have found.
Alex “I saw a hole in the ground with people holiday digging inside it. The students found a bone, teeth and roof tiles.”

We were sorry to say goodbye to Pratham and Pranav today. We have thoroughly enjoyed having them in year 2 and wish them lots of luck in their new school.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your support this term. Have a wonderful half-term holiday and I look forward to seeing you all on Monday 3rd June. There is no homework this week.

Well done to everybody who found last week’s secret word ‘chocolate’. Who can find the secret word this week?
