Spring Chickens & Hopping Bunnies
Year 2 have been revising punctuation marks this week. We are confident when using capital letters, full stops and commas but need to try and use some apostrophes, exclamation marks and inverted commas in our writing. We have drafted, planned and edited a recount of our Spring holiday. We have completed another handwriting unit and have been practising reading with expression and good intonation.
In Maths we have been revising the informal written method and fractions of amounts. I am so impressed with the effort the children have put into their Maths paper 2 booklets! Well done and thank you. Next week we will complete a mock mental Maths paper.
We have enjoyed practising our singing skills this week. We have learnt some new warm-up activities and have been learning to sing legato. We hope you enjoyed our singing during the Easter service on Wednesday.
We have all enjoyed the bunny hop today. The children had so much fun and I was impressed with their enthusiasm and team spirit. The children have completed an Easter card and made an Easter cake with Miss Blundell today.
Tommy “I loved being at Grosvenor park because it was fun and challenging. I want to do it again!”
No homework this week.
Have a Happy Easter holiday!
