Mock SATs!

This week the children have worked incredibly hard to complete mock SATs papers. They have completed two reading papers, one SPaG test and two Maths papers. They are now ready to sit the real tests next week! I have not set any extra homework this week. The children can continue to work on their Maths booklets which we sent out last chocolate week. I would like the children to relax as much as possible this weekend in preparation for next week.

Abigail “I am excited about SATs week because I like doing tests. I found Maths paper 1 easy. I also can’t wait for our afternoon treat!”

Please can all children have a water bottle in school next week and swimming kits for Monday.  Next Friday we will be having a treat afternoon at the park and down by the river. The children will enjoy an ice-cream and a play in the park.

In topic we have been tasting Ancient Maya hot chocolate and writing descriptions about it. Miss Blundell has also been in school this week making chocolate bars with the children. The children have designed some amazing new chocolate bars!

Well done to the children who went to the Tag Rugby event on Wednesday. Their behaviour was excellent and Mr Lee was very impressed with their effort and enthusiasm!

Have a peaceful and enjoyable weekend!

Well done to everybody who found last week’s secret word ‘magic’. Who can find the secret word this week?
