What a busy but enjoyable week!
The children have enjoyed lots of rehearsing for our forthcoming production of Shine, Star Shine. Please continue to practise the song ‘One Bright Star’ with your children at home. Please could costumes be brought into school in a named plastic bag.
On Thursday the children had the opportunity to participate in a multi skills sports event at Ellesmere Port. The children worked in small groups and developed their balancing, throwing an catching, agility and team work skills. Miss Bryan said ” Every child participated and enjoyed all the activities. They all learned something new and I was really impressed with their perseverance and determination to succeed”.
We have been busy creating Christmas cards and painting our trains. In Maths we have worked in pairs to use items to solve number problems up to 10 then 20 involving money.
In English we have been practising the sounds ‘or’ and ‘oy’. The children have been using conjunctions in their sentence writing and have made lots of progress in their guided reading groups.
In RE we visited St. John’s church to talk to Rector Chesters about The Bible. The children listened carefully and asked very sensible questions. Next week we are looking forward to learning about Christingle.
