ACHOO! Y6 had a very sneezy time during British Science Week.
This week has been National Science Week. Each year group was asked to sign up to a particular focus. Our focus was called the ‘Sneeze Zone’ – an investigation to see how far our sneezes travel – and how we can prevent others getting ill. We also did a mini investigation on hand washing – which produced some interesting results.
During our Maths Revision sessions this week we have concentrated on our understanding of multiplication and division. We have also several mini arthrimatic paper. We have also completed a self-assessment of our Mock 2016 sample SAT tests. In addition we have also been revising our understanding of sequencing and algebra by completed a series of SATs style problems.
During our English lessons this week we have concentrated on recognising verbs and adverbs in our writing. We have also spent time developing the next piece of writing for our writing portfolios based on the short film Alma.
We enjoyed also enjoyed spending the day in our PJ’s on Friday Supporting Red Nose Day
I really enjoyed seeing you all during parents evening on Wednesday and Thursday.
