A Treemendous Time in Year 4
It really has been a treemendous week! A week in which we have had our penultimate Forest Schools lesson with Mr Holland of Treemendous. We really have had a wonderful series of classes over the half term, learning a huge amount of outdoor skills and games over the course of the seven weeks. Everyone in the class now has a favourite Forest Schools activity, a few of which include: rope swing making, wood carving, fire building and now…zip wire testing! These are skills and interests which have hugely developed the children’s wider education and have also set them up well for the Year 4 summer residential.
Other highlights this week have included: a huge assembly celebration on Tuesday for all the recent sports events that have happened (see Twitter for more details); the start of our Easter performance practice (lyrics to follow for learning over Easter); and, brilliant news for Ava, who has been selected as an overall winner in the local Hallmark Hotels Bedtime Story Book contest – published book to follow!
Our homework, as always, reflects the work we have been doing in school this week. Please complete and return next week, but remember to keep hold of the spellings sheet to help with daily practice leading up to the next test.
