Year 3 Go Outdoors

This week in year 3, we have spent a lot of time learning outside the classroom.

On Tuesday at Forest School, we worked in teams to build shelters from the sun, followed by a number of hammocks where we sat to enjoy the sunshine.

On Wednesday, we spent the afternoon in the park investigating plant stems. What are they for? How do they help plants?

In Maths this week, we have started to look at charts and graphs. For homework, I would like the children to collect information regarding their friends and families favourite something. It could be food, cars, crisp flavours, you choose. Please present your data in the form of a bar chart.

In English, we spent a very funny morning writing play scrips about breakfast time and getting ready for school. Next week we will start work on our rain forest play scripts.
