A week in the sun in Reception!
What a brilliant half term we have had in Reception class! It has been great to finish the term with a week of sunshine that has allowed us to spend lots of time in the outdoor classroom. This week we have loved buddy reading with Year 5 and Mrs Foulkes, making clay models and making spinners in forest school.
On Tuesday, the children delivered a fantastic performance of ‘Giraffes can’t dance’. They all danced and spoke clearly even if some were a little shy in front of a big crowd! I think we can safely say giraffes, lions, warthogs, parrots, rhinos, chimps and baboons can dance! Thank you for coming to share our assembly with us; it was great to see so many people cheering us on.
Homework this week is to write a letter or postcard telling us about an adventure your child has had over the holiday. Please don’t worry about your letter/postcard arriving at school for the first Monday back as we will look forward to reading them over the first few weeks after half term. Your child has a letter in their homework book explaining this.
We hope you have a fun and sunny week off.
